About Me

My work is centred on supporting children, families, and the professionals who work alongside them. With experience across care, education, and leadership roles, I have worked in a range of settings including Early Learning and Childcare, Primary Education, and Higher Education.

As a freelance trainer and consultant, I draw on my trauma-skilled professional practice to design and deliver engaging professional learning that builds confidence, strengthens relationships, and supports high-quality practice.

I work with organisations across the UK, including childminders, nurseries, school-aged childcare settings, schools, further education professionals, and third-sector organisations, supporting practitioners to reflect, develop, and grow in their work with children and families.

Mission

My teaching, training, and writing aims to support all aspects of professional education and childcare practice with a focus on emotionally intelligent, empathic interactions with children, parents, and staff teams.

Vision

Human beings are innately social beings. Building solid relationships is key to supporting children and families. Research suggests that IQ accounts for only 20% of your success in life. The remaining 80% comes from non-IQ factors including your capacity to relate to others.

My work supports individuals and teams to adopt relational approaches to all aspects of care and learning, with the aim of creating communities who thrive on belonging and social connection.
